Like most other professions in India, Pharmacy is a profession which is heavily regulated. To get approval for academic programmes, the AICTE is mandated by the Pharmacy Council of India. Also known as PCI, the Pharmacy Council is specially established to regulate the profession and practice of pharmacy in India. To qualify for registration as a Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act 1948, one has to do either of the following-
