The Africa Cup of Nations 2017 finals is set to be the 31st edition of the AFCON, the multi-team men’s international tournament conducted to find the best football team in Africa. AFCON 2017 Start Date

The 2017 Africa Cup of Nations Start date is confirmed to be 14th January 2017 and the tournament is set to last till the 5th of February. Originally, Libya was decided as the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations host but because of persistent wars in the country, the tournament has been shifted to Gabon.

AFCON 2017 TV Broadcasting Channels

The AFCON 2017 will be broadcasted to over 150 countries across the world by different channels. The list of 2017 Africa Cup of Nations TV Broadcasters includes

Africa Cup of Nations Qualification Procedure

The AFCON 2017 Qualification procedure included a total of 51 teams competing for 15 spots in the final tournament alongside Gabon. The Qualifying tournament was divided into Twelve groups of 4 teams each and one group of 3 teams where the group winners advanced to the tournament alongside the hosts, Gabon and the two best runner-ups in the qualifying procedure.

2017 AFCON Tournament Schedule

The AFCON 2017 Schedule shows the tournament to be hosted from 14th January – 5th February across 4 venues in Gabon. The previous winners of the tournament Ivory Coast will also be participating in the 2017 edition of the tournament and are many people’s expected AFCON 2017 winner. Besides Ivory Coast, Congo, Gabon, Morocco and Egypt are also among the title favourites.
