The Rio Paralympics 2016 start date is confirmed to be 7^th September by the International Paralympic Committee. The IPC and the IOC decided that the winner of the 2016 Summer Olympic bid will also get to host the Paralympics later in the year. Brazil, on the virtue of hosting the Olympics 2016, also got to host the Paralympics. There are 23 sports among which athletes from various countries will compete in including 2 new sports added to the list – Canoeing and the Triathlon.
